Bitdefender for Windows

Operating systems:
  • Windows 7 with Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, Windows 11
    Bitdefender ended support (antimalware support) for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 on January 14, 2026.
    Bitdefender will discontinue support for Windows 10 on October 14, 2026.
    After support ends, you can use your Bitdefender Central account to transfer the remaining term of your activated licenses to a device running an operating system supported by Bitdefender.
  • Windows Server 2016 or later with Desktop Experience (Standard/RTM, Essentials, and Datacenter for Windows Server 2016 and 2019; Standard/RTM and Datacenter for 2022 and 2025)
Hardware:
  • Random Access Memory (RAM): 2 GB
  • Hard disk space: 2.5 GB of free space
  • Processor: System performance may be affected on devices with older-generation CPUs.
Software:
  • Internet Explorer Version 11

What's Included

You will not receive a physical disc; instead, you will receive only the product key for activation. Activation is then performed directly through your personal Bitdefender Central account. The product key must first be activated in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland, after which it will work worldwide.
